Update: Panty Raid for full band is ready to download and play! (2-6-2010)

Panty Raid is one of the demo tape tracks of the casual Houston-based rock band Moon Bounce. It is the first song to be charted by Szalkow. This song has a 90's surf/punk style, with bright flowing guitar lines, strong and funky bass reinforcement, deafening drum delivery, and energetic vocals.

The band has given permission to distribute the song freely, so the final .rwk includes audio with separate drum and vocal tracks. Parental advisory warning: song contains strong language and descriptive content (yes, it's about what the title says it is).

Playability-wise, the all-over-the-place proggish guitar and bass work is fun to play and a nice change of pace from the chugging chords of contemporary indie rock.

The drums alternate between a loud, constant quarter rhythm and blistering rolls, which shouldn't be bad enough to fail casual drummers but will challenge the most talented drumming experts. The outro drum solo is a mind-numbing cacophony of tom rolls, lovingly charted down to the last swing of the stick. Bring friends.

The vocals consist of a zany yelling delivery ala Electric Six, and the silly subject matter makes it hard to get through with a straight face. Because of the yet-unfixed talkie bug, vocals are not working perfectly. The proper weights and lip-synching have been included, making it passable but still glitchy. Recommended the vocalist plays on Easy or Medium for this one.
